HoloValve

Oslo University Hospital (Rikshospitalet)

In HoloValve we are developing holograms of the heart that are made from CT and MRI images of the patient’s heart. The holograms are used for planning and virtual testing of new heart valves. The goal is to better predict and prevent problems that may occur during the operation procedure. Such procedures are mini-invasive  and performed without fully opening the thorax. Valve prostheses are implanted through catheters with x-ray as navigation. We will further develop the holograms into becoming advanced 3d-maps for more secure navigation and positioning of the valve.
