A PROJECT COMMISSIONED BY Oslo University Hospital (Rikshospitalet)
Orthopaedic surgeries account for about 60% of all surgeries worldwide.
Orthopaedists diagnose, treat and perform surgery based on traditional x-rays. They also use these images to communicate with patients.
In OrthoNav, we use HoloLens to display holograms of the patient’s hipbones, to virtually diagnose the patient and plan the surgery. We also use it as an aid during orthopaedic surgery. The goal is to improve the diagnostic analysis and treatment of complex hip and pelvis diseases by giving the surgeon “x-ray vision”.
